Advisory and technical oversight on the largest rail infrastructure project in Egyptian history, connecting Greater Cairo's most densely populated corridors.
The Cairo Monorail system represents a turning point in Egyptian infrastructure development. With 54 kilometres of elevated track connecting the new administrative capital to the existing Cairo network, and a further western line connecting Giza, the project stands as one of the most complex rail undertakings ever attempted on the African continent.
Proficient Advisory was engaged from the early stages of project development, providing strategic advisory, procurement support, and technical oversight throughout the design and construction phases. Our role demanded deep understanding of both international rail standards and the Egyptian regulatory and political environment.
